Telford Homes has been named one of the Top 50 UK employers for the third time in Building Magazine’s ‘Good Employer Guide 2017’, demonstrating its dedication to its employees and positioning the organisation as a benchmark for the industry.

Telford Homes was one of only two housebuilders in the Top 50 and was notable for its high retention rate, leadership and overall employee satisfaction. A focus of this year’s report was on benefits such as maternity/paternity leave and holidays, diversity and training that Telford Homes goes above and beyond to offer.

Telford Homes’ exceptional standards have also gained the company several recent prestigious awards including three Housing Design Awards and Medium Housebuilder of the Year at the Housebuilder Awards 2017.

The Good Employer Guide celebrates the achievements of the best employers across the construction, architectural and building industries. The companies listed were based on employee survey results and written supporting evidence from the 180 businesses who took part. To understand how companies are performing, employees were invited to take part in an anonymous survey designed to focus on various aspects of their working life including: social responsibility; smarter working; wellbeing; leadership; career progression and would recommend their company. A weighting system was then used and the entries assessed by a panel of industry experts.

Jon Di-Stefano, Chief Executive of Telford Homes, comments:
“Our employees are at the heart of our business and we consistently strive to ensure they have the opportunity to develop in a job they enjoy. We pride ourselves on our unique and supportive culture and we are constantly working to inspire this in new colleagues we have welcomed to our growing organisation. We are proud to once again be named by Building as a Top 50 employer and one of only two housebuilders to receive such positive recognition. This reinforces our own recent employee survey which highlighted that 98% of those responding agreed or strongly agreed that they are satisfied working at Telford Homes.”
