Telford Homes Shortlisted for Two Construction News Awards

We're delighted to announce that Telford Homes has been shortlisted twice in this year’s Construction News Awards 2021.

Our Stone Studios development - a new live-work community in Hackney Wick - has been nominated for Community Engagement Project of the Year, while our award-winning New Garden Quarter development in Stratford is up for the Local Carbon Project of the Year award.

Located in the heart of Hackney Wick, Stone Studios offers buyers the opportunity to live in one of East London’s most progressive and creative areas. Over 60% of apartments have now been sold, with just 39 remaining.

Since the very start of the project, Telford Homes was committed to working with the local community surrounding Stone Studios, both during and beyond the construction works. Throughout the construction programme, we hosted regular well-attended ‘drop in’ sessions, issued monthly newsletters, set up a number of feedback channels and launched a dedicated website to keep residents regularly updated. 3,000sqm of affordable workspace has been since acquired by charity, the Creative Land Trust, which will provide long-term, genuinely affordable studios for local artists and creatives. We have also recently launched a stylish new, 3-bedroom show apartment at the development, which has been designed and dressed by a local interior designer and long-time Hackney resident – using locally sourced materials and suppliers.

New Garden Quarter is the fourth zone of the wider Chobham Farm masterplan, located between the East Village and Stratford new town. The site was previously used as a car park, which has since been transformed into a new landscape-focused neighbourhood, offering residents and neighbours the opportunity to build a new community in a safe, secure and natural environment.

Now in its 25th year, the CN Awards pits together the property industry's biggest names, where companies, including developers and contractors, will compete for some of the industry’s most prestigious prizes.

We will now face a second stage of judging, before the winners are unveiled at an awards ceremony on 15 September.
