In partnership with Peabody and Angelo Gordon, Telford Homes will deliver 420 new homes, 209 of which will be for affordable rent or shared ownership at Capital Interchange Way in Brentford, West London. The scheme will integrate seamlessly with the ongoing regeneration of Brentford, particularly the new Brentford Community Stadium, which is just a few minutes’ walk away, and is home to Brentford FC and London Irish RFC. The new neighbourhood is just a short distance from the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Royal Botanic Gardens. Excellent rail and road links also put the rest of London within easy reach, including direct trains to London Waterloo, Richmond and Stratford. A new transport interchange provides direct connections to the Elizabeth Line and upcoming HS2 services.
BREEAM Excellent ratings are being targeted for the commercial and retail space and, as part of Telford’s social value strategy, at least 20 new Apprentices will be employed through the value chain. The residential elements will deliver a 46 per cent reduction in regulated carbon emissions, beyond Building Regulations requirements. Passive and active design measures are being incorporated to reduce energy demand including low carbon, high efficiency Air Source Heat Pumps to provide heat and hot water, energy-efficient building fabric and insulation to minimise heat loss.
