In 2017 we were selected by the London Borough of Brent, via the GLA’s London Development Panel, to redevelop the second phase of a multi-phase 2,400 home masterplan for the regeneration of South Kilburn. The project is a partnership between Telford Homes, the London Borough of Brent and their South Kilburn Regeneration team.
The 3.2 acre site, situated between Cambridge Road and Kilburn Park Road, is located 100 metres from Kilburn Park underground station. It represents the second phase of a multi-phase 2,400 home masterplan for the regeneration of South Kilburn. The development will deliver 235 homes including 123 new open market homes, 102 affordable social rent homes and 10 shared equity homes in buildings ranging from four to eight storeys.
The scheme is a partnership between Telford Homes, the London Borough of Brent and their South Kilburn Regeneration team, and Notting Hill Genesis. It has been designed by Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios working with Alison Brooks Architects, Gort Scott Architects and Grant Associates and was shortlisted for a Housing Design Award 2017. Work is underway on site with completion anticipated in 2021.
To enhance health and wellbeing extensive landscaped areas for public use will be created as well as a secure courtyard and children’s play areas for the exclusive use of residents. A new public pedestrian route will run east-west through the site linking Granville Road with St Augustine’s Church, in a reinstatement of the historic street pattern.
We’re serious about making this borough an amazing place to live and are working hard to build the homes that people need. The partnership with Telford Homes brings us one step closer to delivering our target of 2,400 new homes in South Kilburn.
