Telford Homes’ Bow Garden Square scooped the coveted award for Development of the Year at the prestigious RESI Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel last night.

The RESI Awards, organised by Property Week and now in its eighth year, is the premier celebratory event for the sector, attracting competitive entries from the best of British developers.

Jon Di-Stefano, Chief Executive Officer of Telford Homes, said: “We are delighted that our commitment to developing the homes and creating the places that London needs has been recognised with this prestigious award.  There was a very strong shortlist featuring some superb developments from across the UK so to emerge victorious is really gratifying.

Community sits at the heart of all of our developments and this is central to the ethos of Bow Garden Square. In addition to homes of mixed-tenure, a state-of-the-art primary and nursery school, new sports hall/community centre, a new public park and mosque all play a major role in bringing both new and existing residents of Bow together.  It creates a real sense of community.”

The homes at Bow Garden Square have been popular with first time buyers and young families, particularly as all apartments qualify for Help to Buy. Since launch in March 2018 the development is now fully reserved. This is an exceptional performance in the context of a challenging London housing market and an indication of the strength of the development.

East London is currently undergoing a renaissance with regeneration transforming the skyline and the increasing desirability of being close to London’s financial hub. The addition of Bow Garden Square not only provides much needed new homes and community facilities, but an opportunity to live in a dynamic urban village with some of the capital’s most renowned independent art, retail and culinary institutions alongside East London’s finest green spaces.
