Telford Homes named finalists in the 2020 Constructing Excellence SECBE People Development Award  

Telford Homes has been named as a head-to-head finalist in the prestigious Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards 2020 ‘People Development Award’.

The award is designed to recognise organisations that appreciate and nurture their workforce; creating inclusive workplaces which support people of all abilities through training initiatives, education, mentoring, support networks and innovative programmes.

Telford Homes impressed judges with its Telford Homes Academy scheme, designed to allow all colleagues from trainee to senior managers to attend training built to make a difference to them. Focused on individual development, delegates across all courses are coached and supported to build development plans that are personal to them, support their learning and give a tangible return on investment. The Academy has already seen exceptional results – with 90% of the first cohort of first line managers being promoted within 6 months of completing their programme, and feedback from delegates that it is making a real change to their personal development.

The winners will be announced on Thursday 2nd July, following a final stage of judging which will see the Telford Homes team present their case to a panel of five expert judges.
