Building for Tomorrow Conference

This week, our Sustainability Director Andrew Day joined Oliver Novakovic, Technical & Innovation Director of Barratt Development Plc, to deliver a talk at the NHBC Building for Tomorrow conference, on how climate change will impact housebuilding delivery.

This year’s event brought together stakeholders from across the industry, to hear a number of talks centred around the theme of inspiring quality, safety and change – and specifically climate change - in the home building industry. Andrew and Oliver gave an insightful look into how both Telford Homes and Barratt PLC are tackling the fast-moving debate around climate change, and its impact and opportunities for the new homes sector.

Environmental principles form a key part of our Building a Living Legacy strategy and laying out a clear approach to responding to the challenges of climate change in our 2030 net zero carbon roadmap. Telford Homes believe that true change will require collaboration across the entire industry and will continue looking for opportunities such as this to share knowledge and best practice.
