New Garden Quarter Claims the 2021 Graham Pye Award at the Housing Design Awards

New Garden Quarter Development - located next to the world-renowned Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford - has won the 2021 Graham Pye Award at the Housing Design Awards.

The striking building is designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards, winner of Architect Journal’s ‘Sustainable Practice of the Year’. In line with our Building a Living Legacy strategy, all the homes are highly energy efficient with excellent fabric performance and low carbon emissions and benefit from an on-site combined heat and power plant, green roofs and photovoltaics.

New Garden Quarter is the fourth zone of the wider Chobham Farm masterplan, located between the East Village and Stratford new town. The site was previously used as a car park, which has since been transformed into a new 471 home landscape-focused neighbourhood, offering residents and neighbours the opportunity to build a new community in a safe, secure and natural environment.

The Housing Design Awards are the only awards promoted by all five major professional institutes- RICS, RIBA, RTPI, Landscape Institute and Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. Running for 72 years, they are committed to championing leaders of skill and innovation in the real estate industry.
