Telford Homes and Bühler Donate £10,000 to Support Newham based Children’s Hospice

Telford Homes and global industrial processes company Bühler, have donated £10,000 to Richard House Children’s Hospice in Newham, east London.

The donation helps to ensure that the charity can continue to deliver palliative care and end-of-life services, as well as providing respite care and support for families of children with life-limiting conditions.

On Wednesday 19 May, Kirill Han from Telford Homes, along with Nora Schillinger and John Deans from Bühler handed over the cheque for £10,000 to Richard House’s Chris Williams.

The donation forms part of a contribution to local businesses at Telford Homes’ new Gallions Phase 2B site. The new development is an extension of the developer’s existing Gallions Point development, in the Royal Docks, and will see the creation of an additional 267 new homes.

Kirill Han, Telford Homes said: “The good work of Richard’s House has never been more vital given how much these families have had to endure during the pandemic. It is a pleasure to make this donation, and to recognise the amazing work and services that the team here provide to local people.”

Chris Williams, Richard House said: “We are incredibly grateful to both Telford Homes and Buhler for making this donation. This money will go a long way to continue our vital services, for example, it could provide 3 months’ worth of activities”

Nora Schillinger, said: This is a very memorable occasion, and much more than a single act of donation. It’s the laying of the foundation for future collaboration between Bühler, Telford Homes and Richard House to help out in the community. It has been a privilege fund raising for Richard House since we moved to Gallions Reach in 2007, and this link will enable us to help in more ways!
